Georgian architecture is often variable and it is not uncommon to find a number of one-off buildings in various towns and villages but all are defined by the desire for symmetry with the proportions based on the classical architecture from Greece and Rome. In a number of towns that expanded rapidly during the period a number of property developers started to emerge building rows of house in a homogeneous terraced houses and this style spread out globally and had high standards of quality finish and construction. A number of these beautiful homes were demolished over the years but cities and towns such as London, Edinburgh, Bristol and Newcastle have retained plenty of examples that allow Period Mouldings to save these designs.
A prestigious architrave that offers real quality in both look and feel. It frames a door effectively and originally would have been made of two pieces.
A classic design starting wider and then dropping through a reverse teardrop to a flat section. Thereafter the straight line accentuate the final flat section and rounded finish.
